Ed and Kim Svercauski were quoted $695 for cremation services rendered by Heritage Cremation Providers. When they received their bill it was $1,500. Problem solvers contacted owner A.J. Damiano and were told that the family needed to pay the bill or they won't receive the ashes.

The body was cremated by A to D Mortuary in Texas and ashes released to Heritage. After many phone calls, the ashes were released to Kim's sister. Heritage Cremation Providers, also known as Legacy Funeral services, is currently under investigation with the Colorado Regulatory Department.
